1. Who this covers

This policy explains what House Edge Trading, operated by [legal entity or sole proprietor name], collects and why. It covers the website, the application form, and the client portal.

2. What we collect

• Application answers. Name, email, phone (optional), social handle (optional), age bracket, experience, markets, goals, and your written answers.
• Account data. Email, name, tier, and membership status. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider.
• Messages. Your portal conversations with the coach.
• Session records. Scheduled sessions, attendance, and related notes.
• Payment records. Amount, method, date, and what the payment covered. We never see or store card numbers.
• Consent records. Which policies you accepted, the document version, the timestamp, your IP address, and your browser user agent.
• Audit logs. A record of staff and admin actions, kept for security and accountability.
• Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP, browser, timestamps) processed by our hosting provider to run the service.

3. Why we collect it

To review applications. To run the mentorship: scheduling, messaging, announcements, and access control. To keep accurate payment and consent records. To respond to billing disputes with evidence. To meet legal and tax obligations. That is the full list.

4. What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not run advertising trackers on this site. We do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.

5. Who processes it for us

• Supabase. Database, authentication, and hosting for the application and portal.
• Payment platforms you choose. For example PayPal or Whop. Your payment details go to them directly, under their own privacy policies.
• Email delivery provider. When email notifications are enabled, a transactional email service sends them on our behalf.

Each processor receives only what it needs for its job. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Declined applications are deleted on request. Payment, consent, and other financial records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically seven years. Messages and session records are kept while you are a member, and for a reasonable period after, in case of disputes.

7. Your rights

Email [official contact email] to request access, correction, or deletion of your data. We respond within 30 days. We verify requests through your registered email address. Records we must keep by law, such as payment and consent records, are retained even after a deletion request.

8. California and other state privacy rights

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can know, correct, and delete their data, without discrimination for asking. Use the contact email above. We honor these requests for all users, in every state.

9. Security

Data lives in a database protected by row-level security: each client can read only their own records. Staff roles follow least privilege, and admin actions are logged. Connections are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep what we store to a minimum.

10. Under 18

This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete the account and its data.

11. Changes

Updates to this policy get a new version number and date. Material changes are announced by email or portal message before they take effect.
